bonito

clarissa and i recently returned from our whirlwind vacation to brasil. after spending some quality time with the family, we departed for a three-part tour of the interior. many forget that despite its beautiful beaches, the majority of the country has no coastline. bonito was the first leg of our trip; it is considered brasil's ecotourism capitol.

the highlight was an afternoon of "fluctuation". basically, we floated down the rio prata with wet suits and snorkeling gear. due to the water's chemistry and filtration system, the river boasts crystalline waters...better to see the fish! did i mention that we even saw monkeys climbing the trees at the river's edge?
