i presented a poster at the annual meeting for the national primary care research group. this year, it would be held in rio grande, puerto rico. clarissa was psyched. the resort was nice, but they overcharged for the food. at times, i felt like i was in prison...enough said. afterwards, we headed west to enjoy the surf, sun, and warm waters of its beaches.we reconnected with my host parents (bibi and rosita) who would not take "NO" for an answer. yes, we stayed at their aguada home, which served as a great base camp to launch our daily trips in PR. i ate some rice, beans, tostones, mofongo; we ate sandwiches at el meson and ice cream at puerto rico's only chinese ice cream shop, REX CREAM. we came back rested and tan, ready for the winter of colorado!
